Consortium
The HIATUS consortium brings together a rare combination of European talent, consisting of partners and members with international reputation in terms of their track record, experience, capabilities ranging from wireless communications and signal processing to information theory, antenna design theoreticians to handset and base station manufacturers, network operators to standards and commercialisation leaders. It is composed of five Universities (UEDIN, KTH, SUP, UPF, VUT), one academic research institute (AIT), and one industrial partner (ERI).
The overall aim of the HIATUS project is to establish a leading European research group of international standing, the focus of which is to advance the state of the art in emerging and next-generation cellular networks. Specifically, the goal of the consortium is to solve the fundamental issues related to interference alignment in the context of MIMO cellular communications, and to bring the concept from theory to practice.
