SUPELECCreated in 1894, Supélec (Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité) is one of the most prestigious and selective Engineering Schools (Grandes Ecoles) and top Graduate Schools in France. With three campuses located at Gif-sur-Yvette, Metz and Rennes, Supélec has established several cooperative agreements with the top ranked ECE departments worldwide, including MIT, Columbia University, Georgia Tech, UT Austin, Virginia Tech, Tsinghua University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, HKUST, IIT Bombay, NUS and EPFL. Supélec is a founding member of two Thematic Advanced Research Networks (RTRAs), and participates in several national innovation clusters. It comprises 1975 students (460 engineers graduating each year and 250 PhD students), 130 full-time faculty, and 14 departments and laboratories. The Telecommunications department supports a board research agenda ranging from information theory, advanced communication technologies, antennas and propagation to wireless networking. It is actively involved in numerous European and international research projects in these areas and has a close collaboration.
