TUwienThe Institute of Telecommunications (TC, http://www.tc.tuwien.ac.at/) is one of the largest in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Vienna University of Technology.The institute contributes to teaching in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science through courses covering a wide range of subjects in signals and systems, communications, radio-frequency engineering, and communication networks.
The institute's research is in fields of practical relevance, including mobile communications, flexible wireless systems, multimedia systems, optical communications, signal processing, communication theory, radio frequency engineering, and broadband communications.

The institute carries numerous research projects funded by industry, the European Space Agency, and government agencies. TC also participated in numerous EU-funded projects and is currently a partner in the EU Network of Excellence (NoE) NEWCOM++. It has been involved in various COST initiatives (e.g. COST 259, COST 273, COST 2100). It maintains close ties with the FTW competence center, also based in Vienna. Finally, the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Wireless Technologies for Sustainable Mobility is affiliated with VUT.
